My wife and I moved to Ogden in the summer of 1997, while we were still in our 20's and still without children.  Since that time, God has richly blessed us with five children, none of whom have done any time at the Juvenile Detention facility.  Our family loves to be together.  We hike the mountains around us, gather in the living room for family devotions, play games together, swim (alot), talk (even more), and in general embrace the ministry and the life that God has given us here.

At the time we moved to Ogden, we came to serve under Pastor Mark Short in our Christian Academy.  Shortly after our move, Pastor Short asked me to serve as his Assistant Pastor and specifically to work with the youth of our church, a job that we enjoyed doing for four years.  After the tragic death of Pastor Short in September of 2001, Berean Baptist Church called me to be their next pastor in October of 2001. 

Should the Lord tarry, we would be especially delighted if God gives us many more years in this wonderful ministry.  The people of Berean make it easy and delightful to be a pastor in the ministry.  We love every part of preaching the Word, leading the church, helping families and building people.
